1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
2cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1cup sour cream
1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2cup melted unsalted butter
1/2cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Topping:
1cup crushed cornflakes or Ritz crackers
2 tablespoons melted butter for topping
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine hash browns, cheese, sour cream, soup, melted butter, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Spread Mixture: Spread the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Add Topping: For a topping, mix crushed cornflakes or crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
Bake: Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until hot, bubbly, and golden brown on top.
