Ingredients
UnitsScale
Ground Beef
1pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Quesadilla Assembly
4 large flour tortillas
2cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2cup diced onions (optional)
1/2cup diced pickles
2 tablespoons butter
Optional Garnish
Extra ketchup
Mustard
Thousand Island dressing for dipping
Instructions
Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 6–7 minutes. Drain excess fat. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, and mustard. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Quesadillas: Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt a little butter. Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese, add a portion of the beef mixture, then top with onions, pickles, and another 1/2 cup cheese. Place a second tortilla on top and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
Serve: Slice into wedges and serve with dipping sauce.
Notes
You can swap cheddar for American cheese for a more “classic burger” flavor.
