- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh)
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
- Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all the dried herbs and spices: basil, parsley, garlic powder, rosemary, oregano, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt.
- Add the minced fresh garlic to the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving dish or small shallow bowl.
- Pour the extra virgin olive oil over the herb mixture.
- Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve with warm, crusty bread for dipping.
Notes
- You can blend the dry herbs and spices into a finer texture using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.
- Store leftover dry mix in an airtight container for quick use later.
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the red pepper flakes.
