Description
Carne Asada Tacos are flavorful and juicy grilled steak tacos, marinated with citrus and spices, then served on warm tortillas with fresh toppings.

- 1 1/2 lbs flank or skirt steak
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jalapeño, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup diced white onion
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- Salsa, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the steak in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 4-6 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet.
- Assemble the tacos by placing sliced carne asada in tortillas and topping with diced onion, cilantro, and salsa.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.

- Marinating the steak overnight enhances the flavor.
- Use skirt steak for a more tender texture.
- Optional toppings include avocado, queso fresco, or pickled onions.
