Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, poppy seeds, cardamom, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until a soft dough forms.
Form Cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each slightly with the bottom of a glass.
