Description
These Caramel Apple Bites are a quick and easy fall snack made with crisp apples, chewy caramel, and crunchy toppings. Perfect for parties or a fun family treat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 20 soft caramel candies
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/4 cup crushed peanuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
- Toothpicks or small skewers
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Cut them into bite-sized cubes or use a melon baller to scoop small apple balls.
- Insert a toothpick or small skewer into each apple bite and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- Dip each apple bite into the melted caramel, allowing excess to drip off.
- Immediately roll in crushed peanuts, mini chocolate chips, or your favorite toppings if desired.
- Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to set.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- Use firm apples to ensure they hold up to dipping.
- Work quickly when dipping the apples as the caramel sets fast.
- Try other toppings like crushed pretzels, sprinkles, or shredded coconut.
