Caramel Apple Bites Recipe – Easy Fall Snack Idea

These Caramel Apple Bites are a quick and easy fall snack made with crisp apples, chewy caramel, and crunchy toppings. Perfect for parties or a fun family treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 20 soft caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • Toothpicks or small skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Cut them into bite-sized cubes or use a melon baller to scoop small apple balls.
  2. Insert a toothpick or small skewer into each apple bite and set aside.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Dip each apple bite into the melted caramel, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Immediately roll in crushed peanuts, mini chocolate chips, or your favorite toppings if desired.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to set.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use firm apples to ensure they hold up to dipping.
  • Work quickly when dipping the apples as the caramel sets fast.
  • Try other toppings like crushed pretzels, sprinkles, or shredded coconut.
