A low-calorie, vegetable-rich cabbage soup designed to promote quick weight loss over a short period, often used in the 7-day cabbage soup diet plan.

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 6 large green onions, sliced
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 12 cans of diced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 bunch of celery, chopped
  • 1 package of dry onion soup mix
  • 68 cups of water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 12 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat (if using), then sauté garlic and onions until slightly softened.
  2. Add chopped cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, and celery. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour in the diced tomatoes and add dry onion soup mix, pepper, and salt.
  4. Add water or vegetable broth to cover the vegetables. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30-45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  6. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.

  • This soup is typically eaten as part of a 7-day meal plan for rapid weight loss.
