  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries tossed with 1 tablespoon flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until creamy. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Combine ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in blueberries.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool and slice: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • Tossing blueberries in flour prevents sinking.
  • For frozen blueberries, do not thaw before adding.
  • Optional: Add a lemon glaze or sprinkle sugar on top before baking.
