  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Prepare the Batter: Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sugars, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla. Gradually add dry ingredients, then stir in hot water or coffee.
  3. Bake: Divide batter among liners and bake for 18–20 minutes. Let cool.
  4. Fill: Hollow out centers of cupcakes and fill with cherry pie filling.
  5. Whip Cream: Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
