  • 1/3 cup cooked ground Italian sausage (crumbled and drained)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (optional)
  • warm marinara or pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and egg until combined. Add to dry ingredients.
  4. Add cheeses and toppings: Fold in the mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, sausage, and bell pepper if using.
  5. Fill muffin cups: Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
