  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
