Bread Cubes:

  • 1 loaf brioche or French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 8 cups)

Berries Layer:

  • 1 1/2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

Egg Mixture:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Other:

  • Butter or nonstick spray for greasing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Layering: Place half of the bread cubes in the dish, add cream cheese mixture, then half of the berries. Repeat with remaining bread and berries.
  3. Prepare Egg Mixture: Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the bread.
  4. Chill and Bake: Refrigerate for 2 hours. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45–50 minutes.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
