Description

Beefaroni is a hearty, family-friendly comfort food made with tender macaroni pasta, seasoned ground beef, and a savory tomato-based sauce. It’s quick, budget-friendly, and perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Add cooked macaroni to the beef mixture and stir to combine evenly.
  7. If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and stir until melted and creamy.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
