Noodles:

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles or spaghetti

Beef Stir-Fry:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3/4 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, snap peas, cabbage)
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Prepare noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Make Sauce: Whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  3. Stir-Fry Beef: Sear beef in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes, then set aside.
  4. Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, stir-fry vegetables, garlic, ginger, and green onions until tender.
  5. Combine: Add noodles and beef back to the pan; pour sauce over everything and toss to combine.
  6. Finish: Stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until heated through; serve hot.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap in chicken or tofu for variety.
  • Dark soy sauce can be omitted if unavailable.
