  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For the BBQ Chicken:

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked shredded BBQ chicken
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce

For the Topping:

  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook macaroni, then set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk and simmer until thickened.
  3. Stir in cheeses, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt until creamy.
