BBQ Bacon Burger Recipe

A juicy and flavorful BBQ bacon burger made with seasoned beef patties, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and tangy BBQ sauce, perfect for grilling season.

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling)
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup lettuce (optional)
  • 4 slices tomato (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  2. Form ground beef into 4 equal patties and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill or cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  4. While the patties cook, fry the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers: place lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun (if using), add the patty with cheese, top with 1 slice of bacon, and drizzle with BBQ sauce.
  8. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
