1lb ground beef (80/20)
4 slices bacon
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar cheese
1/2cup BBQ sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling)
1/2cup sliced red onions (optional)
1/2cup lettuce (optional)
4 slices tomato (optional)
Instructions
Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
Form ground beef into 4 equal patties and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Grill or cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
While the patties cook, fry the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
Assemble the burgers: place lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun (if using), add the patty with cheese, top with 1 slice of bacon, and drizzle with BBQ sauce.
Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
Notes
You can substitute beef with turkey or plant-based patties for dietary preferences.
Try smoked gouda or pepper jack for a different cheese flavor.
Use homemade or your favorite BBQ sauce for a personalized taste.
