  • 2 cups cooked jasmine or white rice
  • 1/2 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Seasonings:

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Vegetables and Garnish:

  • 1 cup bok choy or spinach, chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 egg, fried or soft-boiled
  • sliced scallions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Sauté garlic and ginger, add the ground pork or chicken, cook until browned. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In a separate pan, sauté bok choy, carrots, and mushrooms until tender.
