This Baked Cheesy Chicken Casserole is a creamy, comforting dish packed with tender chicken, pasta, and a rich cheese sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or potluck gatherings.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional topping)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for breadcrumbs, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the cooked chicken, cooked pasta, and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining cheeses.
  6. If using breadcrumbs, mix them with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the chicken with turkey or rotisserie chicken.
  • Add steamed vegetables like broccoli or peas for extra nutrition.
  • Use any cheese blend you prefer for a different flavor.
