  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Filling:

  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy. Add melted butter, egg, flour, and salt. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Filling: Toss apples with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Assembly: Roll out dough, add apple mixture, roll up, slice into rolls. Place in a baking dish and let rise. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
  4. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.
