  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Seasonings:

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
