Pie Crust:

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

Filling:

  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Optional Topping:

  • Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the crust: Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
  3. Mix the filling: In a large bowl, whisk together apple butter, brown sugar, eggs, evaporated milk, flour, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
  4. Fill the crust: Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
  5. Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes until the center is set and a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean. Cover edges with foil if crust browns too quickly.
