This refreshing Antioxidant Blueberry-Lemon Green Tea is a delightful beverage that combines the goodness of green tea with the flavors of blueberries and citrus. Perfect for a hot summer day or as a hydrating pick-me-up anytime.

Ingredients

Green Tea:

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 green tea bags

Blueberry Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add Ingredients: Reduce heat, add green tea bags, blueberries, lemon slices, and ginger if using. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Steep: Remove from heat, steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and strain mixture into a pitcher, pressing blueberries and lemon.
  4. Sweeten and Chill: Stir in honey or maple syrup. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve: Pour over ice, garnish with mint and lemon slices.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, mix with chilled green tea and sparkling water.
  • Freeze extra blueberries for flavorful ice cubes.
