Air Fryer Salmon

Tender and flavorful air fryer salmon, seasoned simply and cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and juicy interior.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Optional garnish: chopped fresh dill or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush or rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray, leaving space between them.
  6. Cook for 7–9 minutes, depending on thickness, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. During the last minute, drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
  8. Carefully remove fillets and let rest for 1–2 minutes.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges and garnish with fresh dill or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For skin-on fillets, place skin side down to get crispy texture; if skin-off, watch cook time closely to avoid overcooking.
  • Adjust seasonings to your taste—add a pinch of cayenne for heat or swap paprika for smoked paprika for deeper flavor.
  • Cooking time may vary based on air fryer model and salmon thickness; always check for doneness.
  • Leftover salmon is great flaked in salads, sandwiches, or wraps.
