Description

A festive and patriotic cookie cake perfect for celebrating the 4th of July, decorated with red, white, and blue sprinkles and frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup frosting (red, white, and blue for decorating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-inch round cake pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  9. Let cool completely in the pan.
  10. Decorate with red, white, and blue frosting as desired.
